Meet Dr. Philip Miller
Dr. Philip Miller is one of New York’s most skillful and respected top facial plastic surgeons with more than 20 years of experience in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He is an established expert in facial rejuvenation procedures as well as rhinoplasty. He lectures regularly on specific techniques before colleagues at national facial plastic surgery events. Recently, Dr. Miller lectured on innovative rhinoplasty techniques at the 10th International Symposium of Facial Plastic Surgery. Since 2007, he has been consistently among the Best Doctors in America.
Dr. Miller has served as a guest examiner for the American Board of Otolaryngology and as a governing board member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed facial plastic surgery journals and contributed chapters to rhinoplasty and neck rejuvenation academic textbooks. He has presented papers at regional and national meetings and has served as visiting professor at both American and British medical colleges.
Dr. Miller has appeared on the Discovery Channel and the Today Show, in W, Marie Claire, Hamptons, and Gotham magazine feature articles, and in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times print and online editions.
Dr. Miller earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Wesleyan University. He earned his medical degree at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. He served his internship and residency in general surgery and his otolaryngology/head & neck surgery residency at the New York University School of Medicine. He has served as a fellow in facial plastic & reconstructive surgery at the Oregon Health Science University. He is board-certified in both facial plastic & reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology/head & neck surgery.
Aside from seeing patients at Gotham Plastic Surgery in New York City, Dr. Miller is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology, New York University School of Medicine teaching facial plastic surgery to otolaryngology medical residents and students. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, and of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Meet Dr. Douglas Steinbrech
Dr. Douglas Steinbrech is a board certified plastic surgeon, specializes in minimally invasive aesthetic surgical procedures. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery under the American Board of Medical Specialties. The Consumers Research Council of America has selected Dr. Steinbrech as one of America’s Top Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Steinbrech has done extensive research as lead author in ten peer-reviewed publications and co-author in 40+ others. He has presented his research nationally at the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Plastic Surgery Research Council, the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, the New York Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Association for Academic Surgery. He has received research grants from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the Plastic Surgery Foundation.
Aside from seeing patients at Gotham Plastic Surgery in New York City, Dr. Steinbrech holds clinical appointments at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, and Lenox Hill Hospital. He participates regularly in the education of the next generation of plastic surgeons, instructing New York University plastic and reconstructive surgery residents at Bellevue Hospital and fellows of the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. He involves himself in the activities of several philanthropic organizations: Smile Train, the National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction, RxArt, and the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House.
Dr. Steinbrech first studied engineering at Boston University, then switched his major to Biology at the University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts. It was there where he received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors. After earning his medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, he went to the prestigious New York University Institute of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for another eight years of study.
